We are an affiliate of Calvary Chapel, a Non-Denominational Christian Church located in Las Vegas. We are born again by the Spirit of God into the church of Jesus Christ. Bible studies, prayer meetings, potlucks and special events. The interesting thing about His church is that you can't join it. There is only One Person Who can say, "My church." And that is Jesus. Christ said, "Upon this rock I will build My church." I am a part of His church. The Lord has created the church for His own good pleasure, and thus, the church exists primarily for Him it is His church. We have groups and bible studies throughout the valley and week for men, women, couples, singles and young adults. We believe that the church exists primarily for Jesus to bring pleasure to Him that we might be to the praise and glory of His grace. He then declares why - for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the building up of the body of Christ. We have something for everyone FIND ONE NOW. And He gave gifts unto men and gave to some to be apostles, to some prophets, and some evangelists and some pastors and teachers. And when He ascended, He led the captives from their captivity. The philosophy of Calvary Chapel concerning the role and function of the church is found in Ephesians 4:9-13 where Paul speaks about Jesus Christ Who has ascended into heaven, but He is the One Who first of all descended into the lower parts of the earth. We believe that the only true basis of Christian fellowship is Christ's agape love, which is greater than any differences we possess and without which we have no right to claim ourselves Christians. We are not a denominational church, nor are we opposed to denominations as such, only their over-emphasis of the doctrinal differences that have led to the division of the Body of Christ. Women of all ages around the world have the opportunity to study the Bible together, exploring the meaningful questions of life, going deeper in their. Our supreme desire is to know Christ and to be conformed into His image by the power of the Holy Spirit. Our main objective is to share in community with one another and grow in our 5 pillars of Faith: Bible Study, Prayer, Worship, Fellowship, & Sharing Our Faith. There is a common space area with seating and tables. We meet on Saturdays at 11:00am-12:30 outside of the Whole Foods in Brea. We have groups and bible studies throughout the valley and week for men. The Learning groups use DVD small group study materials and are facilitated by some amazing VBF leaders. Triggers and Parenting Scripts by Amber Lia & Wendy Speake. 1) Learning Groups These groups meet on Tuesday evenings in various classrooms at VBF for six to eight weeks, and learn from popular Christian authors and speakers (like Beth Moore, Lee Stroble, Gary Chapman, Henry Blackaby, and many others). I also take bits and pieces from a few books that have helped with my own personal and spiritual growth. We cover plans from the Uncommen website, they also have plans on the YouVersion App that we go along with. We focus on becoming the Role Models they need. These days there are a lot of outside sources for our children to find that only want them to model their roles.
